Meet the Mind Behind the Mission
Gursharan Singh Athwal (born in Village Athwal, District Amritsar, Punjab), popularly known as GS Athwal, is an Indian entrepreneur and a recognized figure in the digital marketing landscape. He is the founder of Green Apple Media Solutions, a successful digital marketing company in India, and the driving force behind Guide Me Career, one of the country’s leading career guidance portals.
With a professional journey spanning over a decade, he has made notable contributions to both the education and digital marketing sectors. His career began in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry, followed by a stint as a Sales Executive at Just Dial from October 2012 to August 2013. Guided by a strong entrepreneurial vision, he soon transitioned toward the education industry, discovering a deep interest in search engine optimization and digital growth strategies.
In 2015, he started Green Apple Media Solutions (GApple Solutions), headquartered in Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar, with branch offices in Mohali (Chandigarh) and Noida. Under his leadership, the company has emerged as a prominent name in digital marketing, offering services such as website design and development, SEO, and social media optimization (SMO).
Beyond the private sector, he has contributed to several government initiatives. From June 2020 to June 2022, he worked with the Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA), Chandigarh, on strategic planning and awareness campaigns promoting green energy and sustainable practices. This included video planning and creation for stubble-burning awareness and the Haibowal Biomethanation Project in Ludhiana. Between October 2021 and June 2022, he also led RTI awareness campaigns under the Right to Information Act, 2005, which involved producing radio spots and public awareness advertisements.
